Watermark does not appear on some pages

Solution

All pages receive the watermark. If some pages look different, they may have a white overlay element. Verify by opening the PDF in a different viewer.

What opacity level should I use?

For a subtle background mark that does not obstruct reading, use 15–30% opacity. For a clearly visible stamp, use 40–60%. Above 70% the watermark may obscure text and images on the page.

Can I add an image or logo as a watermark?

Currently only text watermarks are supported. Image and logo watermarks may be added in a future update. As an alternative, you can use a PDF editor for image-based watermarking.

Does the watermark appear on every page?

Yes. The same watermark text is applied to every page of the PDF without exception. There is no option to skip specific pages.

Can I change the watermark position or angle?

The watermark is always placed diagonally at 45° in the center of each page. Custom positioning, angle adjustment, and multi-position placement are not currently available.

Will adding a watermark significantly increase file size?

No. The watermark adds only a small amount of text drawing instructions to each page. For a typical PDF, the file size increase is a few kilobytes at most — negligible compared to the original.

Can I watermark a password-protected PDF?

No. The PDF must be unlocked before modifications can be applied. Use the Unlock PDF tool to remove the password, then apply the watermark to the resulting unprotected file.
