故障排除

下载后元数据仍然存在

解决方案

确认文件是JPEG格式。用ExifTool等元数据查看器打开它。部分查看器会缓存旧数据——重新打开下载的文件。

删除EXIF后文件大小不变

解决方案

部分JPEG包含极少的元数据——大小差异可能只有几KB。检查前后的元数据计数以确认删除成功。

GPS未列在元数据计数中

Does this tool work for RAW camera files?

No. The tool supports JPEG only. RAW formats (CR2, NEF, ARW, etc.) have different metadata structures and are not supported.

Is the GPS location completely unrecoverable after stripping?

Yes. The GPS data is removed from the file binary. Standard metadata recovery tools cannot retrieve data removed this way, as the bytes are overwritten.

Will stripping EXIF affect image quality?

No. EXIF data is stored in separate metadata segments. Removing it does not affect image pixels or visual quality.

Can I see what data was removed before stripping?

Yes. The tool shows a count of metadata fields found before and after stripping, confirming exactly what was removed.
