How accurate are these estimates?

They are approximations based on typical CPM ranges by niche and YouTube's revenue share model (55% to creators). Actual earnings depend on audience geography, ad formats, viewer ad-block usage and seasonal ad spend.

What is RPM vs CPM?

CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM (Revenue Per Mille) is what you as a creator actually receive per 1,000 views — it accounts for YouTube's cut and the fact that not all views serve ads.

Does this include sponsorship money?

No. This tool only estimates AdSense revenue. Sponsorships and affiliate deals often make up a larger portion of a creator's income and are calculated separately.

Why does the Finance niche pay so much more?

Advertisers in the finance and business space (banks, trading apps) are willing to pay a much higher CPM because the value of a single lead is very high.

Do YouTube Shorts earn the same as long-form videos?

No. Shorts have a significantly lower RPM than long-form videos. Use a much lower CPM value in the slider when estimating revenue for a Shorts-only channel.
